Your support for the community starts here!  Love Waipū (formerly known as Waipū Business and Community Inc.) are a non-profit community group who organise events such as the popular Street Markets, Winter in Waipū, the ever-popular Christmas Eve parade as well as many networking events.

Our committee is made up of business people with a passion for helping promote Waipū and businesses within Waipū.  We are always looking for fresh ideas and keen community members to lend a hand or get involved.

The committee has recently merged with Waipū 2000 and now holds the contract to oversee the maintenance of community parks and verges with mowing and weed management.

In 2020, after lockdown ‘Love Waipū’ held a Business Bites networking event to gain insight and ideas from local business owners on how to collectively promote Waipū in a time that many businesses and locals were feeling the pinch.

One emerging idea was a stronger digital presence and website promoting Waipū as a destination to Shop, Eat, Explore, Live and Do Business.

With a strong community spirit and an ever-growing events calendar, the “Love Waipū” vision is to promote community engagement and participation and assist local businesses to be successful and grow.
